In the 10th minute, Leonides Txartiko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Jaime Lleir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hermengildo Jerold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Leonides Txartiko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14thth minute of the game Leonides Txartiko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing FC's Hermengildo Jerold was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leonides Txartiko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Jerold having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Racing FC's zone, Benedicto Rufo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermengildo Jerold came out of the goal and Benedicto Rufo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Desiderio Mundo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing FC's protests and gave Desiderio Mundo a yellow card for diving instead. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hermengildo Jerold showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gogo Gartzen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonides Txartiko in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermengildo Jerold saved Racing FC from getting behind. In the 83rdth minute of the game Leonides Txartiko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing FC's Hermengildo Jerold was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jaime Lleir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 89 minutes, Leonides Txartiko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charrua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Txartiko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Desiderio Mundo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Charrua played a much better game than Racing FC and deserved their victory. The Racing FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
