The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rolando Dantae sped through SavoiaLaTenesAdentro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Melquiades Precioso. Gerardo Obano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Jerold having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Arnoldo Ilazki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Jakobe was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 17th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Gerardo Obano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hermengildo Jerold showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Evarado in the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SavoiaLaTenesAdentro FC's zone, Arnoldo Ilazki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melquiades Precioso came out of the goal and Arnoldo Ilazki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, SavoiaLaTenesAdentro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rolando Dantae came free, but Melquiades Precioso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SavoiaLaTenesAdentro FC's Melquiades Precioso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Abarca in the 28th minute of play. Mauro Evarado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Hermengildo Jerold tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Evarado struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Hermengildo Jerold didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SavoiaLaTenesAdentro FC. Racing FC's Hermengildo Jerold proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Racing FC from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute Mauro Evarado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Jerold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gerardo Obano came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the SavoiaLaTenesAdentro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Obano couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Evarado to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Mauro Evarado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermengildo Jerold saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gerardo Obano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Obano in the 68th minute of play forced Racing FC's goalkeeper Hermengildo Jerold to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rolando Dantae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Arnoldo Iigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolando Dantae in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Melquiades Precioso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anibal Tome kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Mauro Evarado managed to get in a good position for a shot. SavoiaLaTenesAdentro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Evarado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermengildo Jerold breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mauro Evarado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gerardo Obano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as SavoiaLaTenesAdentro FC had held the ball for most of the match.
