Spectators: 7128 (Terracing: 5379, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carmelo Mundo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 8 played minutes River Plate Bahía Blanca got a freekick which was hit by Godofredo Burni. In the 9th minute Victorino Bizi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santiago Gilen kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Carmelo Mundo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Uhin in the 22nd minute of play forced Ranqueles's goalkeeper Laureano Lucado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Leonardo Javiero fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cesar Brais struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Isaac Duarte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ranqueles. In the 40th match minute, Ranqueles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Donostia to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ranqueles's zone, Carmelo Mundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laureano Lucado came out of the goal and Carmelo Mundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Israel Lucian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate Bahía Blanca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Israel Lucian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute Israel Lucian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Lucado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Brais was the one to do the kick off. Javier Donostia got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Laureano Lucado had in the 55thth minute some difficulties stopping Fernando Enekoitz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Carmelo Mundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Lucio Bastian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match Fernando Enekoitz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laureano Lucado skillfully saved the ball. If Carmelo Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastian Uhin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesar Brais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaac Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Brais, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Lucio Bastian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ranqueles's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucio Bastian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaac Duarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cesar Brais might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaac Duarte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesar Brais ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 75th minute, Victorino Bizi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaac Duarte was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Ranqueles's Cesar Brais in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye River Plate Bahía Blanca's goalie prevented a goal. In the 81st minute, Cesar Brais left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ranqueles fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Cesar Brais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Duarte having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ranqueles fans cheered their team off the field, for while River Plate Bahía Blanca had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
