In the 24th match minute, River Plate Bahía Blanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Lucian to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Faustino Gabino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Almafuerte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Plate Bahía Blanca's goalkeeper Isaac Duarte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 43 played minutes River Plate Bahía Blanca got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Uhin. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Almafuerte's Lázaro Laffitte got a free kick in the 46th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carmelo Mundo in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Tibalt saved Deportivo Almafuerte from getting behind. In the 83rd minute Carmelo Mundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Tibalt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Carmelo Mundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate Bahía Blanca's supporters rose to their feet, but Carmelo Mundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Tibalt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in River Plate Bahía Blanca's zone, Faustino Gabino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaac Duarte came out of the goal and Faustino Gabino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Deportivo Almafuerte supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Almafuerte would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
