River Plate Bahía Blanca's supporters rose to their feet, but Marciano Guilabertus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humberto Artaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th match minute, River Plate Bahía Blanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Israel Lucian to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Geronimo Mitxaut took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Isaac Duarte to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, MSM FC's Gaston Nalo got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 20th minute of the match Amadeo Palben sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Artaldo skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, River Plate Bahía Blanca's Serafin Lordi got a free kick in the 28th minute. Gogo Tab, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Casimiro Maju took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isaac Duarte. River Plate Bahía Blanca's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gerardo Quinton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaac Duarte having to interfere. The supporters of MSM FC booed when River Plate Bahía Blanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Enekoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, MSM FC's Gerardo Quinton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaac Duarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The wind increased when Marciano Guilabertus made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Blas Iratze mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MSM FC and the River Plate Bahía Blanca players grew even worse after the yellow card. 59 minutes into the match, MSM FC's goalkeeper Humberto Artaldo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carmelo Mundo. If Carmelo Mundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marciano Guilabertus in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Humberto Artaldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marciano Guilabertus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Humberto Artaldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Carmelo Mundo came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Humberto Artaldo could save by the left post. Gerardo Quinton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Isaac Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 73 minutes, Geronimo Mitxaut managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MSM FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geronimo Mitxaut was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute Serafin Lordi suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. The supporters of River Plate Bahía Blanca booed when MSM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaudencio Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmelo Mundo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 84 minutes into the match, River Plate Bahía Blanca's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Mitxaut came free, but Isaac Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
