But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lázaro Laffitte couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the game, Bartolo Weterio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Almafuerte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing FC the free kick. Bartolo Weterio hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Racing FC's Rolando Dantae got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deportivo Almafuerte's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
