Victor Gorri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in El Balé de Gareth's zone, Aristides Bernebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Cefero came out of the goal and Aristides Bernebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Gorri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Emesto in the 19th minute of play. The supporters of C.A. LA BANDA booed when El Balé de Gareth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Aragones didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lázaro Tino kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Conrado Quinton's late challenge caught a C.A. LA BANDA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrado Quinton helped the player get up and apologised. Conrado Quinton hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. C.A. LA BANDA's Aristides Bernebe got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, C.A. LA BANDA's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Errando came free, but Victor Gorri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Enrique Errando in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Basilio Rojelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

El Balé de Gareth's Conrado Quinton got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Conrado Quinton off the ground. After a rather tough play, C.A. LA BANDA's Lázaro Tino got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Errando during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 89 played minutes El Balé de Gareth got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Errando. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ariel Emesto managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Balé de Gareth's supporters rose to their feet, but Ariel Emesto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
