An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Maidana in the 23rd minute of play forced Alberdi Jrs.'s goalkeeper Evaristo Gustau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberdi Jrs.'s Evaristo Gustau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Maidana in the 26th minute of play. Freddy Lizardi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Honorio Loren went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Manuel Aguilera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Ianchus's goal looked a bit too open when Honorio Loren came free, but Freddy Lizardi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Freddy Lizardi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Txatxu in the 46th minute of play forced Alberdi Jrs.'s goalkeeper Evaristo Gustau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Honorio Loren was the one to do the kick off. Despite being the better team, Ianchus failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
