After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Marcial Abeitia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roma's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Abeitia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualterio Cloyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Ahmet Sedat Ongul managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Ibipora Esporte Club's Dante Lander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Abeitia in the 13th minute of play forced Ibipora Esporte Club's goalkeeper Gualterio Cloyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cayetano Reyes fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibipora Esporte Club's protests and gave Cayetano Reyes a yellow card for diving instead. Gualterio Cloyo came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Roma's Sixto Baristo. But to his dismay, Sixto Baristo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Marcial Abeitia hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Roma's Sixto Baristo got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcial Abeitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sixto Baristo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Cloyo having to interfere. After having played for 28 minutes, Dante Lander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibipora Esporte Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dante Lander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ibipora Esporte Club's Delmar Feliu got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delmar Feliu to strike the kick off in the second half. Domingo Suarez charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domingo Suarez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Ibipora Esporte Club's zone, Marcial Abeitia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualterio Cloyo came out of the goal and Marcial Abeitia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute Dante Lander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Sedat Ongul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute Marcial Abeitia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Cloyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dante Lander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sixto Baristo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Ahmet Sedat Ongul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Lander, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute of the match Jose Remir sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ahmet Sedat Ongul skillfully saved the ball. Delmar Feliu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Sedat Ongul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delmar Feliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Sedat Ongul stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delmar Feliu's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Gualterio Cloyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Abancens in the 92nd minute of the match. Ahmet Sedat Ongul didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delmar Feliu went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Roma's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
