After 12 played minutes Alberdi Jrs. got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Ugaitz. When Nicanor Henry fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alberdi Jrs.'s protests and gave Nicanor Henry a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute of the match Wilfredo Nataniel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evaristo Gustau skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Nicanor Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alberdi Jrs.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Henry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delmar Arnau kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Justino Urtsua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Aguilera in the 26th minute of the match. Alfredo Orti hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Alberdi Jrs.'s Nicanor Henry managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Epifanio Hibai in the 28 minute of the game. In the 29th match minute, Alberdi Jrs. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Lop to maneuver through the defense. Nicanor Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Evaristo Gustau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Leizarraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. If Fidel Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Honorio Loren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Yocán FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fidel Pinto made a kick off. The supporters of Yocán FC booed when Alberdi Jrs. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Henry didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Jorge Bras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manuel Aguilera struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Justino Urtsua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alberdi Jrs.. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Fidel Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yocán FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidel Pinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Gustau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justino Taurino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Evaristo Gustau made a huge save. Evaristo Gustau made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Delmar Arnau sent off a good shot on target. Evaristo Gustau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Pinto in the 76th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Alberdi Jrs.'s goal looked a bit too open when Fidel Pinto came free, but Evaristo Gustau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Yocán FC booed when Alberdi Jrs. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apolo Jaume didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberdi Jrs.'s Evaristo Gustau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Alberdi Jrs. from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Yocán FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
