Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hector Gilesindo took the kick off in the first half of the match. River Plate ♥'s Adriano Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Hugo Endira managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate ♥'s supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Endira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Braulio Santiago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th minute Hector Gilesindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Angelo Martxot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horácio Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Martxot in the 21st minute of play. After 24 played minutes, Panambí's Angelino Aresti shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Horácio Botelho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Panambí reached it. Genaro Herensuge hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 33 played minutes River Plate ♥ got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Manni. In the 42nd minute Abelardo Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Hugo Endira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate ♥'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Endira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to River Plate ♥ getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Joaquin Manni hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, River Plate ♥'s Joaquin Manni got a free kick in the 58th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Angelo Martxot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horácio Botelho. River Plate ♥'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angelo Martxot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice moves Angelo Martxot could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which Horácio Botelho however easily saved by the left post. Horácio Botelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abelardo Cordeiro in the 74th minute of the match. Horácio Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Gilesindo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgardo Orland got free with Horácio Botelho in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, River Plate ♥'s Horácio Botelho got control of the ball when Angelo Martxot tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, River Plate ♥'s goalkeeper Horácio Botelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Martxot. After 86 minutes, Rosendo Transito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Plate ♥ and the Panambí players grew even worse after the yellow card.
