In the 15th minute, Alfonso Xabel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marciano Luken might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Ponc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marciano Luken ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelo Ponc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Luken, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Alfonso Xabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Norberto Santiago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Alfonso Xabel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Roberto Berdaitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonso Xabel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 67 minutes, Marciano Luken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melero AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marciano Luken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Era Por Abajo's Marcelo Ponc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marciano Luken in the 75th minute of play. Melero AFC's Alfredo Xabat got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marciano Luken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Marcelo Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
