After 7 played minutes Era Por Abajo got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Eusko. In the 12th minute, Alfonso Xabel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Albano Rozarius. The goal made the score 1-0. Jaime Gaztea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Marcelo Ponc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerardo Martxot during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After taking down the ball on Pompeya's corner Arnaldo Orkatz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcelo Ponc quite easily take care of the ball. Marcelo Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Pirmin in the 23rd minute of the match. Ermegildo Pirmin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Ponc having to make a save. Marcelo Ponc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jaime Gaztea went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Roberto Berdaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Gerardo Martxot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Era Por Abajo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Marcelo Ponc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Pirmin in the 42nd minute of play. Pompeya's Albano Rozarius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Xabel in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ermegildo Pirmin was the one to do the kick off. Marcelo Ponc was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Ermegildo Pirmin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ermegildo Pirmin really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Ermegildo Pirmin might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelo Ponc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ermegildo Pirmin ran back to his position shaking his head. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Marcelo Ponc successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcelo Ponc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermegildo Pirmin's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Ermegildo Pirmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Pirmin in the 73rd minute of play forced Era Por Abajo's goalkeeper Marcelo Ponc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albano Rozarius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Xabel in the 80th minute of the match. Roberto Berdaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Rozarius having to interfere. Pompeya's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arnaldo Orkatz in the 91st minute. The corner led Pompeya's Arnaldo Orkatz to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelo Ponc despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Albano Rozarius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Xabel, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Pompeya's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
