Spectators: 6654 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 0) Silverio James started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Todo Rojo FC's Uriel Huly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Bibiano in the 4th minute of play. Leopoldo Guilabertus hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Humboldt's Zeledon Urtzi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 6th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Todo Rojo FC. 9 minutes into the match, Humboldt's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio James came free, but Damaso Opilano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Humboldt getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Higinio Taurino hit a great ball. Fulgencio Txemas short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Uriel Huly to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Marko in the 24th minute of play forced Humboldt's goalkeeper Damaso Opilano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Samuel Bibiano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Uriel Huly. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. When Zeledon Urtzi fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Humboldt's protests and gave Zeledon Urtzi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, one of Humboldt:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Humboldt. Damaso Opilano had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Jose Nel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the Humboldt defense, Jose Nel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damaso Opilano. The Humboldt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damaso Opilano should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Humboldt's zone, Amador Marko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damaso Opilano came out of the goal and Amador Marko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Silverio James managed to get in a good position for a shot. Todo Rojo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio James was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Opilano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damaso Opilano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Marko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amador Marko scored 1-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Damaso Opilano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuel Bibiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Humboldt got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Lluciano. 61 minutes into the game, Fulgencio Txema was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Humboldt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Todo Rojo FC the free kick. In the 61st minute, Fulgencio Txema hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silverio James in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damaso Opilano saved Humboldt from getting behind. Amador Marko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Opilano having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Silverio James managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Todo Rojo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silverio James was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 71 played minutes, Todo Rojo FC's Elpidio Iturri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Damaso Opilano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Todo Rojo FC reached it. After having played for 76 minutes, Amador Marko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Todo Rojo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amador Marko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Silverio James had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Humboldt getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Zeledon Urtzi hit a great ball. Amador Markos short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Damaso Opilano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Amador Marko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes Humboldt got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Taurino. Silverio James might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damaso Opilano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silverio James ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th match minute, Humboldt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Taurino to maneuver through the defense. Amador Marko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Opilano having to interfere. Todo Rojo FC played a much better game than Humboldt and deserved their victory. The Humboldt players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
