An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Raebert in the 37th minute of play forced Quebrachitos AFC's goalkeeper Rogelio Luzea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Marcos Raebert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rogelio Luzea was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pablo Duardo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 78th match minute, Quebrachitos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Estavan to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Quebrachitos AFC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Bartolo Mattin hit a great ball. Rogelio Luzea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcos Raebert's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. When Marcos Raebert came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Club 9 de julio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Raebert couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Quebrachitos AFC defense, Marcos Raebert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogelio Luzea. The Quebrachitos AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogelio Luzea should have stopped the shot.
