But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cecilio Ticho couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the game, HASTA QUE LA MUERTE NOS S's Albino Eneto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Freddy Nesor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, HASTA QUE LA MUERTE NOS S's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Fonso came free, but Ermegildo Maraman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ermegildo Maraman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cecilio Ticho in the 24th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Inguma to make the kick off. Freddy Nesor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Inguma in the 52nd minute of play. Albino Eneto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Estrella Dorada's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Inguma came free, but Freddy Nesor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
