Saul Acosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gaspar Bernabel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anastasio Guillen was the one to do the kick off. Sixto Deunoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anastasio Guillen, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 70th minute, Saldán FC's Aristides Haimar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. A collision led to Saldán FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Rogelio Bento hit a great ball. Primitivo Muno missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 74 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Sixto Deunoro right hand side. The supporters of Atl. Libertador booed when Saldán FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Ritchie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Saldán FC's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Martino came free, but Sixto Deunoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Atl. Libertador's Anastasio Guillen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sixto Deunoro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Saul Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Libertador players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
