Libertador's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Sugar came free, but Gaspar Bernabel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Atl. Libertador's zone, Ubaldo Nofre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Bernabel came out of the goal and Ubaldo Nofre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ubaldo Nofre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anastasio Guillen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Galoer having to interfere. When Ubaldo Nofre came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Bocayuva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Nofre couldn't finish the play. 68 minutes into the match, Bocayuva's goalkeeper Florentino Galoer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Honorato Martino. Gaspar Bernabel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esteve Sugar went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Atl. Libertador's Gaspar Bernabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Nofre in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Atl. Libertador getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Abelardo Garoa hit a great ball. Esteve Sugar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Bocayuva's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
