Spectators: 6350 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1300, VIP seats: 50) Neuquén FC's Eriberto Urdaspal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Atarratze in the 3rd minute of play forced Panquehá FC's goalkeeper Clemente Sindo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Panquehá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Atarratze came free, but Clemente Sindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute Eriberto Urdaspal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Sindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Jacindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Astor Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Neuquén FC's goalkeeper Astor Lopes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Jacindo. When Neuquén FC's Eriberto Urdaspal in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Jacindo got free with Astor Lopes in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eriberto Urdaspal might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clemente Sindo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eriberto Urdaspal ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute Jose Atarratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Sindo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Panquehá FC defense, Jose Atarratze kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clemente Sindo. The Panquehá FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clemente Sindo should have stopped the shot. If Marcial Bero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Astor Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mario Jacindo in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norberto Alvarez made a kick off. Astor Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Jacindo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Panquehá FC booed when Neuquén FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Eutropio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Jacindo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Astor Lopes having to make a save. Norberto Alvarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Astor Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 97 minutes into the game, Panquehá FC's Mario Jacindo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Astor Lopes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Despite being the better team, Panquehá FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
