If Celso Rosario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Celso Rosario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gustavo Calvet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 minutes, Fabio Perico mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrancas FC and the Meridiano Vº players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabio Perico kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Celso Rosario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Celso Rosario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Calvet having to interfere. Meridiano Vº's Angelino Ticho got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustavo Calvet made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Celso Rosario sent off a good shot on target. Gustavo Calvet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Ticho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Meridiano Vº booed when Barrancas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Paulin didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Bartolo Venerando from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Gustavo Calvet's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 23 played minutes Barrancas FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ubendu. Erubiel Moise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clodoveo Bakar in the 28th minute of play. Jeremias Rios hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Erubiel Moise didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gaston Beila went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After the first half Barrancas FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelino Ticho to strike the kick off in the second half. Clodoveo Bakar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erubiel Moise was a little too slow when Fabio Perico got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-3. After a rather tough play, Meridiano Vº's Jeremias Rios got a free kick in the 66th minute. Angelo Pedroso hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 83 played minutes Barrancas FC got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Matro. Bartolo Venerando missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 85 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Gustavo Calvet right hand side. In the 87th minute Celso Rosario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Calvet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th match minute, Meridiano Vº was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo Venerando to maneuver through the defense. Carolo Abeijon missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 92 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Erubiel Moise right hand side. Gustavo Calvet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Ticho in the 97th minute of play. Celso Rosario's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustavo Calvet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. Meridiano Vº's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bartolo Venerando in the 100th minute. Meridiano Vº's Bartolo Venerando was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gustavo Calvet in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Barrancas FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
