During the 45th minute of the match Benicio Gartzi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Benicio Gartzi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Benicio Gartzi hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Claudio Nastasio's late challenge caught a LASPELOTAS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudio Nastasio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute, one of Dago F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dago F.C.. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Fernandes was the one to do the kick off.
