In the 22nd minute of the match Camilo Gora sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Javier Lluciano skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Arturo Herena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Recreativo Claromeco's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Herena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Javier Lluciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Placido Cordero in the 27th minute of play forced Recreativo Claromeco's goalkeeper Bernardo Txartiko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anacleto Lehoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arturo Herena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Camilo Gora's late challenge caught a Los Fumones Esotericos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Gora helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Recreativo Claromeco getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Camilo Gora hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Placido Cordero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Arnaldo Bikendi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Los Fumones Esotericos's Ricardo Aires shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bernardo Txartiko but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Los Fumones Esotericos's Primitivo Farias got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute, Arturo Herena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Placido Cordero in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernardo Txartiko saved Recreativo Claromeco from getting behind. In the 71st minute Placido Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Txartiko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75thth minute of the game Placido Cordero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Recreativo Claromeco's Bernardo Txartiko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dalmacio Orlan hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Ibon got free with Bernardo Txartiko in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Placido Cordero kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardo Txartiko. That made the score 0-1 in the 83 minute of play. Javier Lluciano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arturo Herena went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
