An unexpectedly hard shot by Silverio Sesuldo in the 4th minute of play forced Elephant Cemetery's goalkeeper Gaudencio Xabier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nemesio Afonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gaudencio Xabier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Epifanio Sugar kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Gaudencio Xabier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silverio Sesuldo's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute, Elephant Cemetery's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Silverio Sesuldo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 26th minute, Ramiro Nisio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gaudencio Xabier. The goal made the score 1-1. Octavio Pelayo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Silverio Sesuldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gaudencio Xabier was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Elephant Cemetery's supporters rose to their feet, but Epifanio Sugar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herminio Roldanillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gaudencio Xabier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nemesio Afonso in the 45th minute. After 46 minutes of play, Cerrito's Silverio Sesuldo made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaudencio Xabier was left in no man's land by his defense there!

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silverio Sesuldo made a kick off. Nemesio Afonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Gaudencio Xabier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Afonso in the 55th minute of the match. Elephant Cemetery were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Cerrito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Santos Valiente took the corner. Epifanio Sugar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Gaudencio Xabier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiro Nisio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85th play minutes Silverio Sesuldo shot 3-3, a short shot which went by Gaudencio Xabier and just under the crossbar into goal. When Silverio Sesuldo came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Cerrito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silverio Sesuldo couldn't finish the play. Gaudencio Xabier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Sesuldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silverio Sesuldo in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gaudencio Xabier saved Elephant Cemetery from getting behind. 95 minutes into the match, Elephant Cemetery's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Afonso came free, but Gaudencio Xabier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Despite being the better team, Elephant Cemetery failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
