If Baldomiro Firmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 19 minutes, Baldomiro Firmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gregorio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomiro Firmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 played minutes Gregorio got a freekick which was hit by Arnoldo Mikelats. La Patada Cubana's Silvano Rozarius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Mikelats in the 24th minute of play. If Nicanor Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernan Vincent stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iker Victoro's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Silvano Rozarius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Mikelats, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 40 minutes, Justino Tiniebra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gregorio and the La Patada Cubana players grew even worse after the yellow card.
