Gregorio's Baldomiro Firmo got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Epifanio Sugar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Vincent having to interfere. Fernan Vincent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Sugar, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute Arnoldo Mikelats shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaudencio Xabier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute Epifanio Sugar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Vincent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Epifanio Sugar in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernan Vincent saved Gregorio from getting behind. 42 minutes into the match, Elephant Cemetery's goalkeeper Gaudencio Xabier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomiro Firmo. Gregorio's Fernan Vincent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Sugar in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnoldo Mikelats was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Elephant Cemetery booed when Gregorio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Mikelats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baldomiro Firmo charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomiro Firmo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
