Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Cerrito's Silverio Sesuldo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Silverio Sesuldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Martxel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th match minute, Cerrito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Nisio to maneuver through the defense. Conrado Martxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Sesuldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th match minute, Cerrito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Pelayo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Silverio Sesuldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerrito's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio Sesuldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conrado Martxel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute of the match, Nemesio Afonso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Conrado Martxel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nemesio Afonso got free with Conrado Martxel in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the game, Teobaldo Emeterio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. estrella roja's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerrito the free kick. Teobaldo Emeterio kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ciriaco Abecia kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Conrado Martxel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nemesio Afonso in the 24th minute. Cerrito's Ramiro Nisio got his second yellow card of the match in the 26th minute. The referee ordered Ramiro Nisio off the ground. The supporters of estrella roja booed when Cerrito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Nisio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 minutes, Celso Abar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cerrito and the estrella roja players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cerrito getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Celso Abar hit a great ball. Nemesio Afonso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Conrado Martxel made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Oscar Theodore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nemesio Afonso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Conrado Martxel made a huge save. Conrado Martxel was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Octavio Pelayo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Octavio Pelayo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Oscar Matai hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in estrella roja's zone, Octavio Pelayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Martxel came out of the goal and Octavio Pelayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Efrain Barea to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Afonso in the 52nd minute of play forced estrella roja's goalkeeper Conrado Martxel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lisandro Mundo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Nemesio Afonso might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Conrado Martxel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nemesio Afonso ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to estrella roja getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Oscar Theodore hit a great ball. Nemesio Afonso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Conrado Martxel having to make a save. Eustaquio Gizon kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes, Cerrito's Higinio Baleren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Conrado Martxel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cerrito reached it. Nemesio Afonso might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Conrado Martxel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nemesio Afonso ran back to his position shaking his head. Oscar Matai got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 70th minute, Oscar Matai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in estrella roja's zone, Silverio Sesuldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado Martxel came out of the goal and Silverio Sesuldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silverio Sesuldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. estrella roja's Conrado Martxel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Sesuldo in the 82nd minute of play. Octavio Pelayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 85 minutes, Octavio Pelayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerrito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Pelayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celso Abar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Conrado Martxel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cerrito's Silverio Sesuldo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cerrito's Octavio Pelayo got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Silverio Sesuldo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Martxel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. After 96 played minutes estrella roja got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Theodore. There was no doubt that Cerrito were the better team. Cerrito's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
