After a defensive mix-up in Unionistas UDS's zone, Cayetano Justin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Alberto came out of the goal and Cayetano Justin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cayetano Justin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Antonio Tebaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Unionistas UDS's goalkeeper Julio Alberto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Transito. Joel Transito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Julio Alberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Patricio Quintin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Julio Alberto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joel Transito's shot from short distance in the 80th minute.
