If Joel Transito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, one of Patagones:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Rincón de los sauces F.C a penalty, 13 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eriberto Odon, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Patagones's Vinicio Toro. 1-0. After having played for 19 minutes, Anastasio Oinatz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patagones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anastasio Oinatz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Lauro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ricardo Lauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vinicio Toro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Justin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patagones's Vinicio Toro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Justin in the 27th minute of play. Cayetano Justin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cayetano Justin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 minutes, Eriberto Odon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rincón de los sauces F.C and the Patagones players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rincón de los sauces F.C's Eriberto Odon got a free kick in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cayetano Justin made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Joel Transito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Toro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute, Ricardo Lauro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Patagones fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Rincón de los sauces F.C's Faustino Frechoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Rincón de los sauces F.C from getting a goal against them. When Ricardo Lauro came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Patagones fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Lauro couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Saul Montel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Patagones's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Montel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustino Frechoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the match, Rincón de los sauces F.C's goalkeeper Faustino Frechoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Lauro. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eriberto Pedroso during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 played minutes Rincón de los sauces F.C got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Pedroso.
