Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pichincha's Bernardo Refugio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Samuel Leizarraga let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 4th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. 8 minutes into the game, Griever FC's Samuel Leizarraga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pastor Rocio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Casimiro Abar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Refugio, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Griever FC's Casimiro Abar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Jobo in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Bernardo Refugio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casimiro Abar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Griever FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Refugio came free, but Casimiro Abar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes, Griever FC's Sergio Lon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pastor Rocio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Griever FC reached it. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Bernardo Refugio sped through Griever FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Casimiro Abar. In the 30th minute, Bernardo Refugio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardo Refugio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Casimiro Abar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casimiro Abar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Refugio in the 33rd minute of the match. Pichincha's Mateo Firme got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Damaso Sedeni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Griever FC's Casimiro Abar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Tirso in the 43rd minute of play. Pichincha's Pastor Rocio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Kinsen in the 44th minute of play. Samuel Leizarraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pastor Rocio having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Leizarraga in the 56th minute of play forced Pichincha's goalkeeper Pastor Rocio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Artemio Transito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Griever FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pichincha the free kick. After a rather tough play, Griever FC's Artemio Transito got a free kick in the 56th minute. Bernardo Refugio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Casimiro Abar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cristo Bide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th play minute Cristo Bide came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Casimiro Abar. 2-2. After some careless play in the Pichincha defense, Samuel Leizarraga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pastor Rocio. The Pichincha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pastor Rocio should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd minute, Mateo Firme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damaso Sedeni kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Artemio Transito kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of Pichincha booed when Griever FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Sedeni didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bernardo Refugio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casimiro Abar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Jobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Many of Pichincha's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Pichincha may have spent more time on the ball, but Griever FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
