Spectators: 7077 (Terracing: 5412, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 5) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Romulo Barea made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of JUVENILES booed when Chimborazo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Adrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romulo Barea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Bernat having to interfere. JUVENILES's Gualterio Azubeli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Oliviero in the 11th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of JUVENILES:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chimborazo AFC:s goal. The referee gave Chimborazo AFC a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Generoso Frechoso, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of JUVENILES's Gualterio Azubeli. 1-0. After 19 played minutes JUVENILES got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Valerio. Leonides Chepe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amador Bernat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Chepe, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Leonides Chepe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Amador Bernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romulo Barea in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amador Bernat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amador Bernat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Chepe in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, JUVENILES's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anastasio Claude fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hipolito Oliviero struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Gualterio Azubeli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chimborazo AFC. In the 39th minute, Anastasio Claude got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eriberto Piarres's late challenge caught a Chimborazo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eriberto Piarres helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for JUVENILES!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hipolito Oliviero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Romulo Barea who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Amador Bernat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Romulo Barea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Salvador Senio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amador Bernat made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonides Chepe in the 54th minute. When JUVENILES's Romulo Barea in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Leonides Chepe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Amador Bernat made a huge save. A collision led to Chimborazo AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Zeledon Havier hit a great ball. When Romulo Barea came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the JUVENILES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romulo Barea couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Chimborazo AFC's Amador Bernat got control of the ball when Leonides Chepe tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Romulo Barea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JUVENILES's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Barea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chimborazo AFC's zone, Leonides Chepe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Bernat came out of the goal and Leonides Chepe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Hipolito Oliviero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chimborazo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
