Angelino Ermano was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 7th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Cayetano Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Sotero in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Santa Clara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Belarmo to maneuver through the defense. Cayetano Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Sotero in the 13th minute of play. When Oscar Emeterio came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Santa Clara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Emeterio couldn't finish the play. If Marcos Modestio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Fabio Sotero managed to get in a good position for a shot. LI0NS B4RBARIANS's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Sotero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cayetano Firme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cayetano Firme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Sotero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Sotero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cayetano Firme having to interfere. Marcos Modestio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Cayetano Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, LI0NS B4RBARIANS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Feliu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Santa Clara booed when LI0NS B4RBARIANS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Milian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Emeterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

53 minutes into the match, Santa Clara's goalkeeper Cayetano Firme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcos Modestio. Romulo Harkaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Oscar Emeterio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Oscar Emeterio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cayetano Firme made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Modestio in the 62nd minute. In the 62nd match minute, Santa Clara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Belarmo to maneuver through the defense. Severo Belarmo kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Gaston Abastas, 67 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Tadeo Gaueko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Emeterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Nereo Cesaro charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nereo Cesaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nereo Cesaro kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Santa Clara's Cayetano Firme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Santa Clara from getting a goal against them. In the 91st minute, Romulo Harkaitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in LI0NS B4RBARIANS's zone, Severo Belarmo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeo Gaueko came out of the goal and Severo Belarmo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
