The player immediately received a yellow card. 19 minutes into the match, Chimborazo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Benino came free, but Amador Bernat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeledon Havier charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeledon Havier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zeledon Havier kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Cornurbano FC's Robustiano Benino got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robustiano Benino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Amador Bernat made a huge save. In the 33rdth minute of the game Robustiano Benino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chimborazo AFC's Amador Bernat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Hilario Urbez came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Cornurbano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Urbez couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hipolito Oliviero to make the kick off. Hipolito Oliviero kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Amador Bernat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robustiano Benino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Benino in the 61st minute of play forced Chimborazo AFC's goalkeeper Amador Bernat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cornurbano FC's Abelardo Bernad got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Anastasio Claude ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aureliano Innocenzio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Cornurbano FC's Robustiano Benino in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chimborazo AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Chimborazo AFC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Cornurbano FC's much stronger midfield.
