The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, JUVENILES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Ramos to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes Chimborazo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Havier. Amador Bernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chimborazo AFC's Zeledon Havier got his second yellow card of the match in the 29th minute. The referee ordered Zeledon Havier off the ground. After a rather tough play, Chimborazo AFC's Zeledon Havier got a free kick in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romulo Barea in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amador Bernat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Romulo Barea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chimborazo AFC's Amador Bernat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Chimborazo AFC from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romulo Barea to strike the kick off in the second half. Esteban Reynardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Gualterio Azubeli made a huge save. After 68 played minutes Chimborazo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Erlantz. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Leonides Chepe managed to get in a good position for a shot. JUVENILES's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonides Chepe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Bernat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Chimborazo AFC's zone, Leonides Chepe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Bernat came out of the goal and Leonides Chepe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonides Chepe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Bernat having to interfere. Amador Bernat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Chepe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
