Robustiano Mendez hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Giga fc's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Chayo came free, but Remigio Louis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 played minutes Mercedes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Madaleno. Mercedes AFC's Victor Montrelle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Iztal in the 20th minute of play. Giga fc's Remigio Louis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Chayo in the 21st minute of play. When Severo Abadia fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mercedes AFC's protests and gave Severo Abadia a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Mercedes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Severo Abadia. Nicanor Obeko kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Giga fc's Julio Vedillo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 28th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mercedes AFC. After 29 played minutes Mercedes AFC got a freekick which was hit by Severo Abadia. In the 33rd minute Rene Iztal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Montrelle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicanor Obeko hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Genaro Chayo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Louis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Godofredo Bernard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remigio Louis having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Genaro Chayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Victor Montrelle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rene Iztal in the 53rd minute. Remigio Louis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Bernard in the 55th minute of play. After some careless play in the Giga fc defense, Godofredo Bernard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Remigio Louis. The Giga fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remigio Louis should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, Robustiano Mendez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carolo Foro hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Giga fc's zone, Godofredo Bernard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mercedes AFC's Genaro Chayo got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Godofredo Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remigio Louis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Chayo in the 72nd minute of the match. If Sergio Elizardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Mercedes AFC's Victor Montrelle got control of the ball when Rene Iztal tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godofredo Bernard couldn't finish the play.
