Mercedes AFC's Victor Montrelle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Calixto in the 10th minute of play. Eliseo Madaleno hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Victor Montrelle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Maidana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Godofredo Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Genaro Chayo charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Juan Calixto came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Vagos Unidos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Calixto couldn't finish the play. Eustacio Sotil kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Eloy Presebal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godofredo Bernard in the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Vagos Unidos FC's zone, Epifanio Camerino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Presebal came out of the goal and Epifanio Camerino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Montrelle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Calixto in the 38th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Mercedes AFC's Eliseo Madaleno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eloy Presebal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Gervasio Maidana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Montrelle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Calixto in the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to Mercedes AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Benito Mincho hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carolo Foro during the 65th minute.
