The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Peña AFC's Rene Jurdan got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reynaldo Frascuelo's late challenge caught a Peña AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Frascuelo helped the player get up and apologised. If Diego Indalecio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Maximino Salomon came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Peña AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximino Salomon couldn't finish the play. Rene Jurdan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Inocencio Rosalio came out and tried to block the shot, but Rene Jurdan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximino Salomon got free with Inocencio Rosalio in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matias Mede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Honorato Viviano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Peña AFC booed when Centro Materiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Obeko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matias Mede recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rene Jurdan to make the kick off. Inocencio Rosalio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th match minute, Centro Materiales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Edur to maneuver through the defense. Inocencio Rosalio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rene Jurdan, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Centro Materiales's zone, Guaberto Eudoxio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inocencio Rosalio came out of the goal and Guaberto Eudoxio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Peña AFC booed when Centro Materiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Cordeal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Maximino Salomon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Centro Materiales's Inocencio Rosalio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Salomon in the 64th minute of play. Diego Indalecio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Matias Mede came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Centro Materiales fans jumped to their feet. Inocencio Rosalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Jurdan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Centro Materiales's zone, Rene Jurdan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inocencio Rosalio came out of the goal and Rene Jurdan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honorato Viviano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Indalecio, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Inocencio Rosalio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albano Maore's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute, Rolando Salomone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Diego Indalecio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Peña AFC defense, Diego Indalecio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Honorato Viviano. The Peña AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Honorato Viviano should have stopped the shot. Peña AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Centro Materiales for a fine match.
