In the 9th minute, Portugalete AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Clodoveo Guerau fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Portugalete AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Albano Menendo hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the game, Leandro Presebal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Animán AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugalete AFC the free kick. In the 15th minute, Leandro Presebal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clodoveo Guerau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Frasquito having to interfere. Candido Luke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Irrintzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Higinio Felipo in the 24th minute of play. Eduardo Ignatius took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Omar Irrintzi. Animán AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Animán AFC's Victorio Ticho got a free kick in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, Anier Faro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Animán AFC's Omar Irrintzi. Omar Irrintzi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 41st minute Clodoveo Guerau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Frasquito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Mikolas charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillermo Mikolas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Higinio Felipo to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Animán AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Ticho to maneuver through the defense. Anier Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Omar Irrintzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Animán AFC got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Guerau. After a good free kick, Clodoveo Guerau got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Portugalete AFC. After having played for 57 minutes, Clodoveo Guerau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Animán AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clodoveo Guerau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Higinio Felipo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Anier Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugalete AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Irrintzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anier Faro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Omar Irrintzi made a huge save. A hard shot 76 in the game by Anier Faro from a close distance when the talented Omar Irrintzi managed to make a qualified save. Animán AFC's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Higinio Felipo during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Felipo in the 86th minute of play forced Animán AFC's goalkeeper Omar Irrintzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candido Luke blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Frasquito having to make a save. Oscar Frasquito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clodoveo Guerau in the 92nd minute of the match. If Candido Luke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Guillermo Mikolas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Candido Luke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Portugalete AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
