The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Nestor Mark notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of CS Sportivo Agsilon's Gilberto Frasco. Gilberto Frasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santos Hermon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CS Sportivo Agsilon's Santos Hermon got his second yellow card of the match in the 21st minute. The referee ordered Santos Hermon off the ground. In the 22nd minute, Santos Hermon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Ataliva's Cirilo Ibar got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Damaso Mendez fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CS Sportivo Agsilon's protests and gave Damaso Mendez a yellow card for diving instead. Fulgencio Raphael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Mark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilberto Frasco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Ataliva's zone, Cornelio Eron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Rio came out of the goal and Cornelio Eron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victoriano Rio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Mendez in the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Ataliva's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Mendez came free, but Victoriano Rio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CS Sportivo Agsilon's Gilberto Frasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Mark in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Ataliva's Fulgencio Raphael nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Frasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 74th minute Nestor Mark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Frasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Martin Petrigai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoriano Rio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Mendez in the 79th minute of play. CS Sportivo Agsilon's Gilberto Frasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Mark in the 86th minute of play. Martin Petrigai kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ataliva's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paulino Asteri in the 89th minute. A nice corner shot did that Paulino Asteri got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gilberto Frasco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Raphael in the 90th minute of play forced CS Sportivo Agsilon's goalkeeper Gilberto Frasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Gustavo Sazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, one of CS Sportivo Agsilon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CS Sportivo Agsilon. Nestor Mark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Gilberto Frasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The CS Sportivo Agsilon supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ataliva's performance. The match ended with a win for Ataliva.
