Spectators: 7102 (Terracing: 5424, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 15) Martin Petrigai started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Leonides Ruy got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Damaso Mendez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabio Tiadoro hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Ciro Santana. Martin Petrigai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romulo Maurin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. CS Sportivo Agsilon's Gilberto Frasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Ruy in the 26th minute of play. Independiente's Romulo Maurin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Petrigai in the 38th minute of play. Martin Petrigai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Romulo Maurin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Orlando Soin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CS Sportivo Agsilon's Damaso Mendez got a good chance for a goal in the 49th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonides Ruy to strike the kick off in the second half. Romulo Maurin was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Martin Petrigai capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Martin Petrigai really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Arturo Blai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute of the match CS Sportivo Agsilon got a corner. Independiente's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ivan Rosalio ran over to the corner to take the kick. CS Sportivo Agsilon's Ivan Rosalio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Romulo Maurin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cornelio Eron hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Norberto Jacob lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 74 minutes into the game, one of CS Sportivo Agsilon:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Israel Ederono walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Leonides Ruy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damaso Mendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Maurin having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Damaso Mendez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CS Sportivo Agsilon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damaso Mendez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romulo Maurin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cornelio Eron in the 91st minute. If Damaso Mendez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute, Leonides Ruy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Arturo Blai came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo Blai couldn't finish the play. The CS Sportivo Agsilon supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CS Sportivo Agsilon would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
