In the 23rd minute, Gilberto Eufrasio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Barriales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Presebal came free, but Victoriano Botello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barriales FC's goalkeeper Victoriano Botello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eduardo Presebal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Talleres's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barriales FC the free kick. The supporters of Barriales FC booed when Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Asier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Mantzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Julian Mantzio made the kick off in the second half. Eduardo Presebal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Victoriano Botello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Barriales FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Saturnino Lia hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Talleres defense, Julian Mantzio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rickard Lindström. The Talleres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rickard Lindström should have stopped the shot. In the 66th minute, Julian Mantzio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rickard Lindström was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Julian Mantzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Rickard Lindström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rickard Lindström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Mantzio, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Eduardo Presebal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saturnino Lia hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 87 minutes of play, Barriales FC's Julian Mantzio made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rickard Lindström was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Julian Mantzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barriales FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
