The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Martin Petrigai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado George saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado George was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martin Petrigai showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Conrado George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Petrigai in the 13th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CS Sportivo Agsilon's Rafael Amato got a free kick in the 16th minute. Dionisio Adrio struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Gilberto Frasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yalapa. In the 21st minute, Dionisio Adrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Faustino Gamus came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Yalapa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faustino Gamus couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Petrigai in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado George prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 28 minutes, Santos Hermon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CS Sportivo Agsilon and the Yalapa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 29 played minutes CS Sportivo Agsilon got a freekick which was hit by Santos Hermon. In the 30th minute, one of CS Sportivo Agsilon:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CS Sportivo Agsilon. The referee gave Yalapa a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Justino Iruinea, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CS Sportivo Agsilon's Gilberto Frasco. 1-1. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind CS Sportivo Agsilon's goalkeeper Gilberto Frasco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Damaso Mendez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado George having to interfere. Yalapa's Conrado George played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Petrigai in the 43rd minute of play. Rafael Amato's late challenge caught a Yalapa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Amato helped the player get up and apologised. Rafael Amato kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Petrigai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yalapa's Faustino Gamus got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conrado George showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Mendez in the 58th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the game, Dionisio Adrio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilberto Frasco. Dionisio Adrio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. CS Sportivo Agsilon's Santos Hermon got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. The referee ordered Santos Hermon off the ground. Santos Hermon kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Larpe during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CS Sportivo Agsilon booed when Yalapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Larpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Frasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Adrio in the 73rd minute of the match. Norberto Jacob's late challenge caught a Yalapa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norberto Jacob helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 played minutes CS Sportivo Agsilon got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Jacob. CS Sportivo Agsilon's Gilberto Frasco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save CS Sportivo Agsilon from getting a goal against them. If Faustino Gamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Justino Iruinea kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Yalapa eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
