Sportivo Xeneize's Pascual Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Pirro in the 34th minute of play. Pascual Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Perutxo in the 37th minute of the match. Tapebicuá's Modesto Perutxo got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute, Feliberto Nisio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Narciso Eudoxio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Louis, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Eustacio Frederik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Sportivo Xeneize got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Suero.
