Spectators: 7073 (Terracing: 5325, Seating: 1643, VIP seats: 105) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ariel Cordairo kicked off to start the match. When Igor Marino came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Chacarita Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Marino couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute Igor Marino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Lidon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Gerardo Gora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnaldo Lidon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Marino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes Bandera got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Gora. If Eduardo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Marino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Lidon having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Igor Marino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnaldo Lidon was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Eduardo Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Lidon having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Bandera's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Marino came free, but Arnaldo Lidon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Lidon came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Chacarita Juniors's Eduardo Machado. But to his dismay, Eduardo Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Machado got free with Arnaldo Lidon in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andres Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Marino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Igor Marino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnaldo Lidon having to make a save. The supporters of Chacarita Juniors booed when Bandera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Rafel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnaldo Lidon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. After 72 played minutes Chacarita Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Ciriaco Santiago. In the 74th minute, Timoteo Burni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andres Sanchez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Telesforo having to interfere. Vinicio Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ariel Cordairo in the 77th minute of play. Ariel Cordairo struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Vinicio Telesforo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bandera. After a rather tough play, Chacarita Juniors's Timoteo Burni got a free kick in the 79th minute. Vinicio Telesforo came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bandera's Andres Sanchez. But to his dismay, Andres Sanchez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 90th minute, Chacarita Juniors's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Andres Sanchez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Ariel Cordairo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Chacarita Juniors's zone, Andres Sanchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Telesforo came out of the goal and Andres Sanchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
