Leonides Ostadar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Ederono, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Eusebio Egoitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Leonides Ostadar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. la polenta fC's Leonides Ostadar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save la polenta fC from getting a goal against them. If Haroldo Ederono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Haroldo Ederono came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Lonquimay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Ederono couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the game, la polenta fC's David Montrell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santos Manex made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Octavio Paz charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavio Paz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lonquimay booed when la polenta fC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, David Montrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Javier Pello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. la polenta fC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lonquimay the free kick. The supporters of Lonquimay booed when la polenta fC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Pello didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes in the game, Haroldo Ederono fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Leonides Ostadar having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Lonquimay's Eusebio Egoitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonides Ostadar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. la polenta fC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Haroldo Ederono 36 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. A collision led to Lonquimay getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ceferino Txilar hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Gotzon in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Manex saved Lonquimay from getting behind. After some careless play in the la polenta fC defense, Haroldo Ederono kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonides Ostadar. The la polenta fC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonides Ostadar should have stopped the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haroldo Ederono in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonides Ostadar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eusebio Egoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haroldo Ederono might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leonides Ostadar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Ederono ran back to his position shaking his head. la polenta fC's Octavio Paz got his second yellow card of the match in the 62nd minute. The referee ordered Octavio Paz off the ground. A collision led to la polenta fC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Octavio Paz hit a great ball. Haroldo Ederono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. If Haroldo Ederono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rolando Gotzon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Manex having to interfere. Eusebio Egoitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Javier Pello lost his temper 82 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 82nd minute, one of la polenta fC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for la polenta fC. The referee gave Lonquimay a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Victoriano Ondino, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of la polenta fC's Leonides Ostadar. 3-1. Haroldo Ederono recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When David Montrell came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the la polenta fC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Montrell couldn't finish the play. Hilario Totakoxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lonquimay were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of la polenta fC for a fine match.
