Crispi's Feliberto Rios got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hermengildo Delfino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Delfino in the 22nd minute of play forced Crispi's goalkeeper Teodosio Mano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermengildo Delfino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Crispi's zone, Hermengildo Delfino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Mano came out of the goal and Hermengildo Delfino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Talleres booed when Crispi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Gabrio didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was a brilliant solo performance by Crispi's Feliberto Rios when he shot the ball into the net to 1-0 in the 36th minute. Feliberto Rios might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiburcio Francis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Feliberto Rios ran back to his position shaking his head.

54 minutes into the match, Crispi's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Delfino came free, but Teodosio Mano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliberto Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Francis having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Victoriano Gabrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodosio Mano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Delfino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodosio Mano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermengildo Delfino's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
