Justo Elivareo hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, San Martin's goal looked a bit too open when Hermengildo Delfino came free, but Mario Bertran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justo Elivareo charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justo Elivareo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horacio Bortzaioriz hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartolo Gutierrez was the one to do the kick off. After recieving a nice pass, San Martin's Braulio Baladi tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tiburcio Francis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsenio Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adolfo Abadie took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tiburcio Francis. Talleres's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Arsenio Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Vargas in the 74th minute of play forced Talleres's goalkeeper Tiburcio Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
