After a rather tough play, El Canalla's Erasmo Ubarna got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Ismael Berdaitz charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ismael Berdaitz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Estudiabantes booed when El Canalla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Berdaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 minutes, Jonas Remir made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Estudiabantes's Anibal Venceslas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to El Canalla getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ismael Koldo hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Ismael Berdaitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Canalla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Jonas Remir managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Canalla's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Remir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Venceslas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anibal Venceslas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael Berdaitz's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. El Canalla were furious when Lorenzo Jakue was red carded, 26 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of El Canalla booed when Estudiabantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Sanchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute Mauricio Lawrence shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Nayely saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, El Canalla's goalkeeper Jonathan Nayely had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Sanchez. In the 45th minute Jonas Remir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Venceslas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Estudiabantes's Anibal Venceslas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Remir in the 46th minute of play. Jonas Remir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half El Canalla were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonas Remir stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Igor Sanchez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Jonathan Nayely was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd match minute, Estudiabantes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Benat to maneuver through the defense. When Jonas Remir came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the El Canalla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonas Remir couldn't finish the play. If Jonas Remir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Erasmo Ubarna fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Canalla's protests and gave Erasmo Ubarna a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to El Canalla getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Erasmo Ubarna hit a great ball. Jonas Remir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in El Canalla's zone, Baldomiro Quintun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Nayely came out of the goal and Baldomiro Quintun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to El Canalla getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ismael Berdaitz hit a great ball. Jonathan Nayely showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Lawrence in the 84th minute of the match. Ismael Koldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anibal Venceslas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Kelemen, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Jonas Remir cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Anibal Venceslas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ismael Berdaitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. El Canalla played a much better game than Estudiabantes and deserved their victory. The Estudiabantes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
