Joel Rocendo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maximino Belo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Pacorro in the 8th minute of play. Ezequiel Bladi kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Saul Rios didn't quite understand what happened when in the 22 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 23 minutes into the match, JONY F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Roderigo came free, but Luciano Orkatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Pacorro in the 26th minute of play forced matadore's goalkeeper Maximino Belo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Patricio Pacorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the JONY F.C. defense, Valentin Raebert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luciano Orkatz. The JONY F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luciano Orkatz should have stopped the shot. When Ezequiel Bladi fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JONY F.C.'s protests and gave Ezequiel Bladi a yellow card for diving instead. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for JONY F.C.! Saul Rios placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After the first half matadore were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
