The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gavino Felipillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Serapio in the 8th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Altona's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Benvide came free, but Gavino Felipillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20thth minute of the game Lucio Serapio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Altona's Gavino Felipillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Altona's Leonardo Curcio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Santo Cordarius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Donato Gilabert. Puelo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santo Cordarius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Lucio Serapio came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Puelo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Serapio couldn't finish the play. After 34 minutes, Lucio Serapio made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Altona's Gavino Felipillo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Santo Cordarius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Donato Gilabert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Cordarius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Gilabert having to interfere. After some careless play in the Altona defense, Gregorio Xabier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Felipillo. The Altona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Felipillo should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adan Isauro made a kick off. In the 65th minute Altona were awarded a corner. Leonardo Curcio went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Altona's corner Leonardo Curcio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Donato Gilabert quite easily take care of the ball. Altona's Gavino Felipillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Serapio in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute Adan Isauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Gilabert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacio Benvide kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Puelo AFC's zone, Adan Isauro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Gilabert came out of the goal and Adan Isauro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Altona's Gavino Felipillo got control of the ball when Gregorio Xabier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gregorio Xabier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gavino Felipillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Puelo AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
