Ricardo Baladi was slow to take the kick. During this time BENELUX's players had a chance to rest. Fulgencio Elixio made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Joel Rocendo sent off a good shot on target. BENELUX's Fulgencio Elixio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Rocendo in the 14th minute of play. Nicolas Chorache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luciano Orkatz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Nicolas Chorache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Orkatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nicolas Chorache came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the BENELUX fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolas Chorache couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the match, Nicolas Chorache notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of JONY F.C.'s Luciano Orkatz. Luciano Orkatz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of JONY F.C. booed when BENELUX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Cerilo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 48 minutes into the match, BENELUX's goalkeeper Fulgencio Elixio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezequiel Bladi. After the first half BENELUX were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eustacio Petri was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eustacio Petri in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luciano Orkatz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Nicolas Chorache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in BENELUX's zone, Joel Rocendo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulgencio Elixio came out of the goal and Joel Rocendo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicolas Chorache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Luciano Orkatz made a huge save. In the 71st minute, Joel Rocendo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JONY F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Patricio Pacorro managed to get in a good position for a shot. JONY F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Pacorro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Elixio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Rocendo in the 77th minute of play forced BENELUX's goalkeeper Fulgencio Elixio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Patricio Pacorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
